The Allen-Bradley 1746-BAS module is a basic language module for SLC 500 systems. It has RS-232/423, -422, -485 and DH-485 communication ports for connecting modems, printers, HMI and other devices. The module has 24KB of battery backup RAM for data and user program storage. In addition, it supports a wide range of baud rate transfer speeds in full-duplex mode and can be configured to connect to a modem by using the DF1 protocol. The 1746-BAS module provides a single-slot module solution for SLC 500 modular or stationary hardware, thereby enhancing the functionality of the system and simplifying the data collection and integration process1.
