The ABB PP885 3BSE069276R1 is a high – performance operator panel, also known as a human – machine interface (HMI), which is part of ABB’s Panel 800 series. It serves as a crucial component for industrial automation applications, allowing operators to interact with and control industrial processes effectively.
This panel features a 15.4 – inch TFT – LCD display, providing a clear and vivid visual interface. With a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels, it ensures detailed visualization of process data, status indicators, and control interfaces. The brightness of 450 cd/m² and wide viewing angles (160° horizontal and 140° vertical) make it easily visible from different positions in the industrial environment.
The touch screen of the PP885 is of the polyester – on – glass resistive type (AutoFlex EBA 180L), which can withstand up to 1 million finger touches, ensuring long – term durability. The front panel is sealed to an IP65 standard, protecting it from dust and water ingress, making it suitable for use in harsh industrial settings. The rear panel has an IP20 seal.
It is powered by an Intel® Atom processor and comes with 1 GB of DDR2 RAM for smooth operation and data processing. The 2 GB SSD (NAND flash) provides storage for applications. Additionally, it supports an optional external SD card (up to 2 GB, compatible with the standard SD format) for further storage expansion if needed.
The PP885 offers a wide range of connectivity options. It has 1 × 10/100/1000 Base – T (shielded RJ 45) Ethernet port for high – speed network communication, which is useful for remote monitoring and control, as well as for integrating with other devices in the industrial network. There are also 3 × USB 2.0 host ports (with a maximum output current of 500 mA each), which can be used to connect peripherals such as keyboards, mice, or USB drives for data transfer. The power supply requirement is +24 V DC, with an input voltage range of 18 – 32 V DC, and it has a power consumption of 24 W. The fuse rating is 3.15 A slow. It also has a lithium battery (BR 2032 or CR 2032) for backup purposes, and a real – time clock on – chip.
