MVME2400

The MVME2400, produced by Motorola (now Emerson), is a high – performance VMEbus single – board computer designed for a variety of industrial applications5. It is based on the PowerPC 750 microprocessor, which offers excellent processing power for data – intensive tasks1.

This module provides balanced performance across the、
processor, memory, dual independent local buses, and I/O subsystems5. It features 32 KB/32 KB of L1 cache and 1 MB of backside L2 cache, which speeds up data access10. With 32 MB to 512 MB of on – board ECC SDRAM, it can handle large amounts of data processing1. The MVME2400 also has two PCI and two PMC slots, which provide expansion capabilities for various peripherals5. In addition, it is equipped with a 10/100Mb/s Ethernet interface, an asynchronous serial debugging port, and several timers10. It has 8K x 8 NVRAM with a replaceable backup battery for the clock10. The module supports 4 – level requesters, 7 – level interrupters, and a 7 – level interrupt handler for the VMEbus10.
