The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module is a chassis module that is used in conjunction with Allen-Bradley’s ControlLogix series. The chassis module, designed and manufactured by Molex, is equipped with a PROFIBUS D-sub female head module with 9 pins for communication2. It is a PROFIBUS scanner for Allen-Bradley 1756 backplane systems and Honeywell PlantScape systems that helps enable the communication link between the CLX processor and remote I/O devices located on the PROFIBUS network. The SST-PB3-CLX-RLL module supports a variety of standard transmission speeds for Profibus networks, such as 9600, 19200, 31.25k, 45.45k, 93.75k, 187.5k, 500k, 1.5M, 3M, 6M and 12M baud. In addition, the module

has a logical independent dual bus electrical interface, which can realize the backup of the electrical interface or single device access to the dual redundant bus system, while supporting the dual optical port to realize the redundancy function of the dual fiber ring network.
