Working principle
The Proximitor sensor works on the basis of electromagnetic induction. Inside the sensor is an exciting coil that generates an alternating magnetic field. When the object under test (such as a rotor) is near the sensor, the magnetic field changes, inducing eddy currents, which generates a secondary magnetic field. The vibration displacement information is obtained by measuring the change of the secondary magnetic field.
