FOXBORO FCP270

The FOXBORO FCP270 is a Field Control Processor (FCP), a critical component of the FOXBORO I/A Series distributed control system (DCS). FCPs are responsible for real-time process control, data acquisition, and communication within the I/A Series system.  

The FCP270 specifically offers:

  • Regulatory, Logic, and Control Functions: It executes regulatory, logic, timing, and sequential control algorithms, working in conjunction with Fieldbus Modules (FBMs).
  • Data Acquisition: It collects data from field devices through FBMs.
  • Alarm Management: It detects and notifies operators of alarms.
  • Network Connectivity: It connects to the Foxboro Evo control network via Ethernet.
