GE HYDRAN M2
The GE HYDRAN M2 is a compact, permanently installed online transformer monitoring device designed to warn personnel of developing fault conditions. It continuously monitors the combined value (ppm) or hydrogen only value of various faulty gases (depending on the sensor purchased) and tracks the moisture in the oil (readings are in %RH and ppm). By adding additional sensors, the Hydran M2 can also calculate mathematical models of transformers based on IEEE and IEC standards to provide more information about transformer performance2.
In addition, the HYDRAN M2 gas monitoring system is mainly for power system automation, industrial monitoring, traffic manag
ement and other fields of application, the use of GPRS network platform to achieve clear transmission of data information 1.
