The GE VMIVME-3122 is a high-performance 16-bit analog-to-digital converter board manufactured by General Electric (GE) that is part of VMIC’s broad VMEbus analog input/output product family 123. The VMIVME-3122 is designed to provide high resolution analog scanning and digital input capabilities in VME bus system applications.12
The board has the following main features:
High resolution and multi-channel: provides 16-bit digital resolution and supports automatic scanning of 64 differential or single-ended analog inputs.
Multiple modes of operation: Support for multiple modes of operation, including automatic scanning, data burst, and external synchronization.
Flexible gain Settings: Programmable channel gain is available, individual channel gain can be downloaded and used in scanning operations, or it can be configured as a fixed gain common to all channes2.
Powerful data processing capabilities: Dual port data buffers of 16 to 1,024 words, support for multiple data space operations (such as short I/O, standard or extended data space) and programmable channel block sizes and buffer sizes23.
Connection and synchronization: can be directly connected to VMIC’s signal conditioning circuit board family for the output of digital thermocouples, thermal resistors and strain gauges. Supports synchronization of up to 16 boards 2.
