The ProSoft MVI56E-MCMR module is a Modbus master-slave enhanced communication module designed for the Rockwell Automation ControlLogix series PLC. It integrates the Modbus protocol in the ControlLogix system, so that the PLC can easily communicate with other devices that support the Modbus protocol, so as to realize the interconnection between devices of different brands and different protocols.

Product description
The MVI56E-MCMR module acts as an input/output module on the ControlLogix backplane, making Modbus data look like I/O data to the processor. Data transfer to the processor and communication on the Modbus network is asynchronous. The module has two independently configurable serial ports that can operate in the same or different Modbus networks.
