WOODWARD 9907-164
The WOODWARD 9907-164 module is part of the governor control unit based on the 505 and 505E microprocessors. It is designed, developed and manufactured by Woodward for the operation of steam turbines, turbogenerators and turboexpander modules. The module controls the turbine by operating a single extraction and/or admission of steam, and uses the turbine’s segmented actuator to drive the steam inlet valve. The WOODWARD 9907-164 module has standard features such as critical speed avoidance, valve limiter, automatic start sequence and stop-first out indicator, and can be configured and changed by the operator in the field.
In addition, this module has special value in some specific applications, such as the Marine industry. It can be used to achieve the steering and propulsion efficiency of the water rudder to meet the special needs of the ship4.
